Well, we're down to the final days of preparation for The Hard Candy Christmas Show in Cullowhee next Friday and SAturday. Got lots of inspiration and new ideas this weekend. I've never done this show before so I'm very excited about it. Thanks to Ronna and David for their hospitality while I'm there. If you get a chance, come on up and check it out!

Fall and Gourds

Boy! Who knew Fall could be such a busy, busy season. Market is over and all my Market friends and customers are really missed!!!! Just finished up the two Garden Clubs that I did for the Season...next up, The Woodlands at Furman Holiday Fair on the 19th and then the Hard Candy Christmas Show at Western Carolina University the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. That will just about wrap us up for the year.

I will be on "Your Carolina TV with Jack and Kimberly" in December. Stay tuned for more details.

I have retired from my full time job so that I can dedicate more of my time to gourds!!! YAY!!! So, I'm going out on a limb and I can't wait to see what the future holds!

Fall is approaching......

New Outlet

Last Saturday my friend, Debbie Wilson and I set up our booth at Trillium Artisan Centre in Travelers Rest, SC. We ended up with a really great set up and we're very proud of it. If you're in the neighborhood stop in and check out all the great artists' work up there.

Where does the time go....

Hope everyone had a safe & happy 4th of July. We took the week off from Saturday Market and took our annual trip to Lake Greenwood with Fred & Rhonda and lots more. We've done this every year for several years...did some gourdin', eatin' and chillin'. We always have a great time. With the passing of the 4th comes the entrance of Fall Gourds. This Saturday at Market, this years first Jack-o-lanterns will make their appearance! I know it's hard to believe, but Fall is just around the corner! I'll still have some Bird Feeders and houses, but that season is coming quickly to an end. Come out and see all the new stuff we'll have this weekend. We missed you last Saturday!

Getting ready for Fathers Day weekend

Well, it's almost Saturday Market time. This weekend, I spend alot of time making items that would be that perfect Fathers Day gift for the Dad who has everything. I know my Dad loves to get things for the yard and he has several birdhouses and feeders. Alot of them are gourds...thanks to me, his loving daughter! I've been working on Airplanes....I have bird feeders and birdhouses that look like airplanes. They are cute. I will be finishing them up tonight and I'll post pictures, hopefully before the weekend...but no promises. I've also done several decorative pieces that would be great for Dad. I have my trout fishing bowl, antler bowls and several other "manly" looking bowls. Still have a hot air balloon left and who knows what I'll come up with tonight and tomorrow.
Birdhouse and Feeder season is almost over and it'll soon be time to start on Halloween and Fall gourds....where has this year gone????
